About Dr Henry Glennie
Dr Henry Glennie is a consultant otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon (ear, nose and throat specialist) and an expert in the role of big data in the delivery of cost-effective health care, with published articles and many presentations on this subject. He holds two surgical fellowships, a science degree and masters’ degrees in business administration and public policy. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Medical Advisor of Medilink Australia Pty. Ltd. In his work with this company he has been at the forefront of telehealth consultations in Australia. Research interests include the influence of provider variation with overuse, underuse and misuse of healthcare resources, the importance of prompt diagnosis and treatment, the co-ordination of care and the cost of unplanned hospital readmissions.
